Historic Main Street La Grange

La Grange is a charming train town located in Oldham County, Kentucky. The town's unique ambiance is attributed to the train that passes through its center. The street runner on Main Street is a famous landmark that attracts tourists and photographers worldwide. It is the only one left in America on a Main Street and adds to the town's unique charm.

If you are a train enthusiast, La Grange is the perfect place for you. You can even book an overnight stay in one of the several vacation rentals by the tracks to get the full experience. The Train Observation Tower is located in front of the Main Street Bourbon and Ale House restaurant and bar. Here, you can enjoy a local favorite on one of two decks by the tracks while watching the train pass by. The train's speed limit in downtown La Grange is 10 mph, which allows you to fully appreciate the train as it passes by the very walkable shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants.
